GILMORE ART CENTER

The Gilmore name has been involved in the art community for nearly 60 years!

This was the humble beginnings of Chuck Gilmore, Photo retouch specialist, located at 6th Ave., and Downing St. The building is still owned by the Gilmore family however, the new art center is located at 2119 Curtis St., Denver. The Gilmore Art Center now shares the same address as Mile High Framing and Gilmore Manufacturing. 

The Gilmore Art Center had it's grand opening and premiere art show on September 6th, 2007, entitled, "Gilmore, Gilmore & Gilmore, 3 generations of Art". Chuck Gilmore, his son, Doug and grand-son, Josh, displaying photography, pastels and metal art and sculptures. 

Completing our second year, in 2009, the Gilmore Art Center celebrated with another father and son show with Marty and Gene Youngmann, photographer and award winning watercolorist. 

There are still challenges ahead for us, as well as the art community we serve, but reservations for 2010 already tells us that we can be excited about the innovation and caliber of upcoming events.  We hope you will keep your eye on us and we look forward to meeting you soon!
